For those who want a more personalized touch, the "Add Your Photo or Video" feature enables users to easily upload a photo or a video of less than 30 seconds, along with a personal message, which can then be sent by email or text. Alternatively, customers can opt for Send by Mail Gift Cards, which come in a gift box, reveal, or greeting card.

To ensure the recipient receives the gift card, the customer will receive an email notification when the eGift card has been delivered. The order status can also be checked on the Your Orders page, where the status will show as "received." If the wrong email address or phone number is provided, it can be updated until the card is redeemed. After redemption, Amazon cannot cancel or refund the order, and the balance cannot be transferred. If the gift card cannot be delivered, the customer will be notified to update and resend the information.

eGift Cards are typically delivered within 5 minutes, but in rare cases, the delivery may be delayed. Customers can check the status of their gift card in their orders. If a delivery is scheduled, the card will be sent on the selected day.

To redeem the email gift card, the recipient can click or tap the "Apply to your Amazon account" button in the email message. Alternatively, they can copy the claim code and paste it into the text field on the Redeem a gift card page.

It's important to note that Amazon.com Gift Cards can only be used to purchase eligible goods and services on Amazon.com. However, the gift card recipient can use the Gift Card on Amazon.com and then ship the items to their address of choice, either in the US or in another country.
